Holy Island is just nine miles away and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. Bamburgh Castle is also a firm favourite with visitors often taking their own picnic to enjoy!
For the nature lovers out there, you'll be glad to know there's many nearby trails and cycle path to explore. Magdalene Fields Golf Club is also less than a mile from the park, making it a convenient choice for the putters of the family.
Alternatively, ‘Hadrian’s Wall’ is just under two hours by car. This iconic landmark is around 70-miles long and certainly worth the trip!
